“Why Contemporary Islamic Studies?

Contemporary Islamic studies are essential for the sustainability and revitalization of Islamic studies, having the greatest impact on the stability of Islamic legislation and its continuity. The flexibility of scholarly interpretation (ijtihad) and its ability to apply texts to emerging developments, as well as its capacity for analogical reasoning, enable it to encompass all novelties.

The interpretation of the Quran, distancing itself from destructive thoughts and misconceptions, has the ability to prove the Quran’s miraculous nature and refute skeptics throughout the ages. As for Prophetic tradition (Hadith), it constitutes the second primary source in the religion. Its studies have solidified principles that no nation has embraced as the Islamic nation has. The chain of narration is the capital of Hadith, its authentication methods, and refuting doubts form its substance.

The divine message is the culmination of messages. While religions are diverse, the dialogue between them generates peaceful coexistence and tolerance.

Shedding light on the noble character of the Prophet (peace be upon him), his guidance for humanity, and highlighting the qualities of mercy and exemplary behavior are crucial.

All of this necessitates work on contemporary studies to present a clear image of Islam and Islamic legislation.”
